it would be really helpful
if the world could just stop turning, for a moment
If I could step
   off

              heartbeat
To catch
     my       breath
Re-tie
     my laces
tight enough 
         to keep me
                     running
    another

                     years
and straighten my back
       tall enough
       to
       hold
       my
       head
       high  
       again.
